K-League extends partnership with Sports Radar

The Korea Professional Football Federation announced on the 24th that it has extended its overseas broadcasting rights partnership with sports radar, a global sports technology company, until 2027.

Sports Radar, based in Switzerland, has sports broadcasting rights, data license sales business, and fraud prevention services as its main business areas.

Under the partnership, Sports Radar exclusively holds the K-League's overseas broadcasting rights and data sales rights. Based on the authority delegated by the Professional Football Federation, it performs tasks such as selling, transmitting, and providing K-League broadcasts to media companies around the world.

In line with the extension of the partnership, Sports Radar also unveiled a new version of the K League's official overseas OTT platform "K League TV" developed jointly with the federation in 2021. The federation explained that it is characterized by improving the user experience (UX) and the user interface (UI) to promote viewer convenience.

Ben Turner, head of sports partnership at Sports Radar Asia, said, "The extension of the partnership is a very meaningful opportunity in that we can promote various projects that can develop the K League together and maximize the experience of fans in the global market."

Cho Yeon-sang, secretary-general of the Professional Football Federation, said, "The global recognition and sports technology expertise of sports radar will help the K League grow further in the global market and become the most famous professional sports league in Asia."
